Roles & Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end open-line-system architecture.
• Evaluate cost, performance, openness and scale trade-offs.
• Work with Flex-Grid WSS and optical amplifiers.
• Guide long-term platform and technology decisions.
• Align hardware, software and ecosystem strategies.
• Support optical transport product development.
• Develop and debug device drivers and bootloaders.
• Investigate Linux kernel problems and apply patches.
• Work with low-level interfaces and hardware components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Establish realistic technical and customer expectations.

Qualifications & Eligibility

• More than 12 years of relevant professional experience.
• Extensive IP and optical-development experience.
• Strong C, C++ and Linux fundamentals.
• Experience with OTN L0/L1 products.
• Understanding of DWDM, SONET, SDH and OTN systems.
