Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, document, deliver and maintain software throughout the full development lifecycle.
• Build and improve distributed backend services using AWS.
• Develop scalable, reliable and cost-efficient systems supporting Amazon Business pricing.
• Evaluate new and existing technologies and make appropriate technology decisions.
• Work with senior and principal engineers on architecture planning.
• Collaborate with Retail and Seller Pricing teams on build-versus-reuse decisions.
• Establish engineering standards and mechanisms for operational workloads.
• Review code and design documents and mentor junior development engineers.
• Build and use AI-native developer tools, chatbots and agentic workflows.

Qualifications & Eligibility

• 3+ years of professional software development experience, excluding internships.
• 2+ years of experience in software design or architecture.
• Experience with at least one programming language.
• Experience across the software development lifecycle is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent is preferred.
