Roles & Responsibilities

• Contact insurance companies through phone, email or online portals to follow up on outstanding healthcare claims.
• Identify and resolve payment delays related to claim denials, underpayments and other reimbursement issues.
• Verify claim status, appeal denied claims and resubmit claims when required.
• Maintain accurate documentation of communications, follow-up activities and actions taken on accounts.
• Update billing systems and account information with payment details and follow-up notes.
• Generate and review reports covering accounts receivable status, aging trends and collection efforts.
• Follow HIPAA regulations and applicable guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality and data security.
• Collaborate with billing, coding and collections teams to resolve payment-related issues.
• Participate in process discussions focused on improving revenue-cycle workflows and reimbursement activities.
• Stay updated on insurance policies, billing guidelines and changes affecting reimbursement.

Qualifications & Eligibility

• 1–3 years of relevant experience is required.
• Candidates should have proven experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management.
• Relevant experience in Accounts Receivable Follow-Up and Collections is required.
• Strong understanding of medical billing processes is required.
• Candidates should understand insurance claims and reimbursement methodologies.
• Epic HB or Epic PB experience is mandatory.
• Candidates should have experience using billing software and Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• Microsoft Office proficiency is required.
• Strong communication skills are required for interactions with insurance companies, patients and internal stakeholders.
• Candidates must be flexible to work night shifts aligned with the US time zone.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks against deadlines are required.
